Je suis plutôt “faiseur d’images” que photographe, c’est pour cette raison que j’utilise, davantage, mes prises de vue comme une matière première que comme une fin en soi. Un objet, un paysage, ou même, un portrait, peut être le point de départ de l’image que je vais construire. À la manière d’un peintre, par (re)touches successives, je mélange le noir, le blanc et parfois la couleur, afin d’obtenir le point de vue qui est le mien.

 

Being more an "image maker" than a photographer, I tend to use my photographs as a raw material to work on, rather than as a finished product. Any object, landscape, or even portrait, can be the starting point of the picture I aim to create. In order to transcribe what I see, I mix black, white, and at times colour, the way a painter adds brush strokes to his painting.
